1 Choose the appropriate and reasonable tooling method

After the tool device, the tool is first set to determine the starting point orientation before executing the machining program. The tool setting is often a headache for the operator (economical CNC non-self-testing equipment), labor and time, especially when multi-knife machining, it is also necessary to measure the tool compensation.


In general, the commonly used tool setting methods are: Jog the knife method and press the jog button on the control panel to touch the tool tip to the surface of the workpiece (the X and Z directions are divided twice), and the counter is cleared. , then retreat to the initial orientation to be set (X, Z planning initial value), and then clear to get the initial orientation of the knife. The initial orientation of each knife is determined in turn, and then adjusted to the precise planned orientation (starting point) after trial processing. This method can be operated without any aids, but it can be operated at a long time. In particular, the tool must be adjusted from the beginning every time the tool is ground. This method is suitable for simple procedures or initial equipment commissioning.
